  1. Hey there. My name is Josh.Mattew 5:6 is actually,"Blessed are those who do hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled."What a great verse.God showed me some great revelation on this.Notice that the thirsting and hungering are forever present tense.God told me that you are filled so long as you continue to thirst and hunger. They day you no longer do is the day that you are not filled(hence the forever present tense state of the words).A man can never be worthy(righteous enough)in God's eyes. But he can through Christ who is by His word our righteousness. The day you stop thirsting is the day that you say you are worthy enough. It's the day you say i have become righteous and there is no more need to thirst. It's the day you say i don't need Christ. It's the day you say I am sufficient in and of myself. This day can never be.The words hunger and thirst remain present tense, even though it says you will be filled at some point, because the day you stop thirsting is the day you are not filled. To be righteous is to realize your lack of righteousness daily and to realize your need of Christ's righteousness(daily). It is to loathe your sins and as a result long for His holiness to fill you. This process will last your entire life.We must crucify our flesh daily. What is that? That IS longing for righteousness by choosing to resist your sin. What a riddle!!!You will never know that you have been filled because if you did you would no longer thirst and hunger for what you already had.We must all our lives never cease to pray to be found worthy to stand before the Son of Man and in that life long(present tense) knowledge that we are not worthy, we become worhty through christ. For we in that recognition are confessing our sins and need of His salvation.Praise God!
